One and Multiple
Beginning with my master project, entitled “One and Multiple,” my artistic quest became a representation of individual and personal juxtaposed gazes, on the background of the cultural paradigms that these gazes belong to. My thinking is: a person is born, they integrate into society, and begins to be ”de-responsible” , meaning, they begin to take things for granted; this represents the multiple in my works; and the one is represented by my own searches and symbols.
The purpose of this project was to conclude that the “one and the multiple” are closely linked, namely: the individual cannot break the socio-cultural paradigm or any other paradigm without integrating into another existing paradigm. In the “One and Multiple” project, the produced works became a “portrait” describing images “as seen” by me. Seeing in a greater sense than just cognitive, so my self-portrait is not a classic, figurative one, but a “face” made up of different images-moments.
I am a highly motivated multilingual artist, with experience in student administration, in workshop roles and in research roles, currently seeking a new position in educational roles, doctoral studies and academia. I have completed my Bachelor and Master Studies at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, Faculty of Fine Arts, and Master of Arts, Art as Research, Contemporary Art Practice – Passed with Merit at the Lancaster University, Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts.
